Little Oaks have en joyed using the Musical Instruments this week. The Children have been learning to tap out a repeated rhythm and singing Nursery Rhymes.
Little Oaks have enjoyed our Construction Group this week. The Children used different construction materials to create their own models.
The Children have enjoyed our Phonics sessions this week. We have been playing a game called ' Cross the River'. The Children have been thinking about the initial sound of each object in order to take it across the river.
This Week Little Oaks have been learning about Polar Bears. We have been mixing salt , pva glue and white paint to create different textures to paint on to our Polar Bears. The Children have also really enjoyed watching a live video of Polar Bears from Kansas City Zoo and learning lots of new facts about Polar Bears.
Little Oaks enjoyed a special visit to see some different types of Owls in the school hall this week. We met Cracker jack the White Faced Owl, Nigel the Hawk, and Spotty the Spotted Owl. The Children learnt lots of new facts about Owls and watched them fly.
Our new topic for this half term is called 'Brrrr!. We will be learning about cold places and the animals that live there. This week we have been reading the story 'Owl Babies' and focussing our learning around 'Snowy Owls'.

On the first day back at Little Oaks we celebrated our 1st Birthday, a whole year since Little Oaks opened. We were very excited to mark the occasion with the children and we all enjoyed a little tea party at snack time. |
