We finally had some beautiful weather. Little Oaks enjoyed making the most of the glorious weather. We enjoyed music time in the garden, mark making outdoors, creating our very own Percy the park keepers treasure hunt in the woodland area and plenty of water play to keep us cool. We also felt this was a good time to talk about safety in the sun- how important a sun hat is, that we must drink plenty of water and the use of sun cream.

The children have planted a variety of seeds over the last week and have been taking it in turns to water them each day. The children have talked about what plants need to grow and have observed the start of some growth.
Welcome back! We hope you have all had a wonderful break. This term our topic is Messy Fingers. We will focus on plants and flowers and what they need to grow. The children have enjoyed reading some stories of Percy The Park Keeper, exploring our fruit and vegetable stall in the role play area, getting messy in the digging pit and making some petals for our very own friendship flower.
